Mlilwane ist Swasilands ältester geschützter Bereich . Mlilwane dient als Headquarter für die anderen Parks einschließlich der Schwesterreserven Hlane und Mkhaya Mlilwanes. Früher ist ein produktiver bewirtschaftender Mischbetrieb  gewesen ,der das umfangreiche Zinn in den niedrigen Foothills gewonnen hat. Die Berge Nyonyane, das Schongebiet rehabilitiert worden und ist jetzt Swasilands am häufigsten besuchtes Reservat, Besucher können den südlichen Teil des Schongebiets mit Pkw, zu  Fuß, oder  zu Pferde und auf Fahrrädern erforschen.  Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular conservation area located in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), a small country in Southern Africa.
